YES, It sure can. YOU need to have the engine scanned first before you start replaceing parts.
It could.It could.
The CPS does not affect driveability
The ignition sensor, often referred to as the crankshaft position sensor or camshaft position sensor, is typically located near the engine's crankshaft or camshaft. Its exact position can vary depending on the make and model of the vehicle, but it is usually mounted on the engine block or timing cover. This sensor plays a crucial role in monitoring the engine's position to ensure proper timing for ignition and fuel injection. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for the precise location.
That sounds like its going to be either your camshaft position sensor or the crankshaft position sensor. I have a 02 durango with a 4.7 and it uses both. if its starts and all of sudden cuts out its your camshaft sensor a 40 dollar part that's pretty easy to change.
no no
It is located behind the intake on top of the engine. It is not the same thing as a Crankshaft Position sensor. Don't get the 2 confused. The Crankshaft position sensor is located behind the starter on the housing for the torque converter. The camshaft position sensor is harder to get at which is why many mechanics will try everything else before they check this sensor. In some cases the engine may have to be removed, especially if a unskilled mechanic tries to remove it and breaks it off. Make sure to use extreme care when removing it.
No, a spacer is not needed when installing a camshaft position sensor on a 1994 Grand Caravan SE with a 3.3 V6 motor. The sensor is designed to fit directly into its designated location without additional spacers. Make sure to follow the manufacturer's specifications and torque settings for proper installation.
Have you checked for a computer code? That vehicle should have either a crankshaft position sensor or a camshaft position sensor. Make sure it is working properly.
no
You can find a camshaft positioning sensor and any other Daewoo parts through Lipscomb Mitsubishi. How to change it I don't know if anyone has the answer please E-mail me --I have a 2000 Nubira (2.0L engine) and the camshaft position sensor is located inside the timing belt cover, on the passenger side of the engine, and behind the timing belt. The right engine mount bracket has to be removed so make sure you support the engine first--the alternator seems to have a pretty stout bracket to place the support under. The sensor is located towards the very top, behind and between the two camshaft sprockets/gears.
The camshaft position sensor on the Neon 4 cylinder is located at the driver's side of the head in line with the camshafts, just below the valve cover. It's easy enough to replace...simply disconnect the wiring connector, remove the attachment bolts and remove the sensor. Make sure you replace the gasket as well...failed gaskets here are often mistaken for cylinder head oil leaks. Hope this helps!
It is on the passenger side of the engine block. It is accessible from under the truck, and located about the 10 o'clock position behind the crankshaft front pulley. The camshaft position sensor is located on the front passenger side of the timing cover above the crankshaft damper pulley. The sensor is held in by a 10 mm bolt mounted through a retainer. The retainer is part of the sensor and serviced with the new sensor. When replacing sensor, it is best to purchase from Ford dealer, or International dealer. Ask parts salesman to ensure sensor is updated unit as the old models are prone to failure. Make sure sensor is fully seated prior to bolt tightening to avoid possible oil leak.
