What would make your engine stop but will start up again in abit and its not the fuel pump?

That sounds like its going to be either your camshaft position sensor or the crankshaft position sensor. I have a 02 durango with a 4.7 and it uses both. if its starts and all of sudden cuts out its your camshaft sensor a 40 dollar part that's pretty easy to change.

I had this problom with my saxo VTR it is the remote cable is not being wired in correctly. that is waht was doing mine. i would start the car turn it off and it would forget the song and radio stations :@ saxo's then to have trouble with aftermarket head units.
