Will a car be louder without a resonator?
a resonator restricts the sound in your exhaust. removing the resonator will give it a deeper sound. i would suggest changing the entire exhaust system and leaving he resonator off which would make a louder/meaner sound. leaving it on would silence the idle but when you rev it really high it would still be loud.
The vehicle will sound louder.
You will need a larger resonator for that.
"Resonator" usually refers to the Exhaust system. A resonator is a piece of tubing that is slightly larger in diameter than the rest of the exhaust pipe. It is usually located after the catalytic converter, and before the muffler. Vehicles can have multiple resonators. They also usually have some sort of sound deadening material inside. The name resonator would lead one to believe it makes the exhaust louder, but it is actually there to reduce… Read More
If it has one, it would be after the catalytic converter and before your muffler....usually right in the middle of the exhaust line. If it is an aftermarket exhaust system, a lot of people pull the resonator so it is louder and has less restriction without one. Hope this helps!
Is it possible to just remove the resonator on a 2001 Chevy impala and not the muffler that is good?
yes. you just cut it out and connect the muffler with a pipe available at most auto supply houses. use clamps if you can not weld. the car gets slightly louder but not as bad as with a holed resonator ........ or you can get it replaced at most muffler places for about 200.
by law yes..atleast in my state but the car will run no problem without just makes it louder
Put The Volume Up
You drive a car without a muffler, it is not vital to the car's system. HOWEVER without the muffler the car is vastly louder, in some states causing you to receive a ticket
I think it,s louder inside the car
A resonator on any car is to help the muffler keep the exhaust noise level to a minimun.
Resonator delete may produce more rasp, higher exhaust volume and more police attention.
Why would the sound of a guitar string sound louder when attached to the body of the guitar then when plucked alone?
The guitar body acts as a resonator, amplifying the vibrations passed into it from the string.
talk louder or you change the tone setting of your bluteeth earphone on your bluetooth car kit!
Dpending on how close you are and what frequencies are listened to, either can be louder.
The main purpose of a resonator is to reduce exhaust noise. Removing it will give the car exhaust a deeper sound.
you could possibly have an exhaust leak, or a resonator/ muffler that is past its life span. check under your car and make sure you aren't missing any piping. I had a similar issue, because my resonator rusted out of the bottom of my car. If you aren't sure on checking it yourself, take it to your mechanic.
there's a resonator, and mufflers... the resonator usually comes first in the system, closer to the engine, but behind the catalytic converters... but to answer your question, there isn't really a "premuffler" on any car
Yes...i have an 07 cobalt special edition supercharged and my friend stabbed holes into my muffler without me knowning...but i am somewhat happy because it does make the car sounds much louder and it sounds like i have an expensive exhaust system on it...but i recommend getting an exhaust system Yes...i have an 07 cobalt special edition supercharged and my friend stabbed holes into my muffler without me knowning...but i am somewhat happy because it… Read More
Yes a catalytic converter can and will change the sound of a vehicle! The converters serve the purpose of lowering emissions in todays cars and kind of act like a resonator! The exhaust passes through a honeycomb style material thus reducing emmissions! It is against the law to remove them if the vehicle was originally equipped with one from the factory but if removed the vehicle will be louder!
What is Wrong With my Car it sounds louder when you start it and the sound is coming from under the car between the doors it gets louder when I accelerate too?
The exhaust system is falling apart probably from rust, have it checked soon, you don't want fumes getting into the car.
Yes, most cars are.
It "amplifies" the signal of your stereo so it is louder to hear.
The engine usually gets louder? Shift+/
you don't need a muffler on any car but if you don't have a muffler on your car it's going to sound like a drag racer and that can bring the cops due to the noise and disturbing the peace --------------------- true you dont need them, BUT, the key is a big long resonator about half way back, mufflers do some work at keeping sound down, but the resonator is the biggest factor. I used… Read More
Check under your car... you may have lost a muffler.
The intensity is the same inside and outside the tunnel.
The vehicle usually becomes progressively louder.
A resonator guitar is primarily associated with the blues - although does find its way into many other Americana' styles such as folk, bluegrass, etc. It was originally designed in a time before amplification - so the player needed to have the sound project louder and sharper than a standard acoustic guitar. They have a neat sound and sound great with a slide. You can get a cheap one (Fender) for about $250 I think… Read More
A motorbike is louder than a car because the exhaust system is shorter in the bike.
It would be a louder world without mufflers.
Sorry I can't hear the question.
Get a better head unit, an amp, better speakers.
a cold air intake (true one that routes down in the bumper and actually sucks cold outside air) which has an aluminum pipe will give your car a throatier tone and yes will be a little louder but not too loud
The resonator is a "muffler" used in the turbocharger plumbing to quiet the turbo noise. The resonator is a "muffler" used in the turbocharger plumbing to quiet the turbo noise.
because the gears are grinding together if its an old car it will make a louder crack sound
A resonator guitar is a subset of the acoustic guitar type. The noise is made by the use of spun metal cones or discs which are called resonator cones. They are quite common.
There are 2 bolts on the left side of the resonator.
Resonator - album - was created on 2006-04-04.
because marine speakers are to worn marine corps.
yes, you may use it without the amplifier...all it does is make the guitar louder than the maximum volume.
No, you can play without the amp but it definitely makes it louder, it can also add some effects that you can't really do without it.
it just when you can see the flash when firing without a supressor and makes it louder
Resonator guitars are named so after the cone shaped "resonator" in the body of the guitar. This innovation was invented so too amplify the sound of the acoustic guitar, and early models were almost always made out of steel (The cone that is, the wooden body stayed wooden). Thus the term Steel Resonator came about. Most Steel Resonator Guitars are not electric, however I do know that some companies manufacture electric Steel guitars.
Because its injecting for gas into your engine which when more gas combusts its louder.
Wherever. It can be experienced when a car drives by, or even when you're vacuuming and it gets louder then quieter.
Intake bellows are a car part that makes a car sound louder than it actually is. It uses air chambers and an inlet valve to create the noise.
That depends how close you measure to the car. The closer - the louder! The distance is very important if you measure with a sound pressure level meter.
Big plastic thing on top of the engine that says 6.6 air intake resonator
The resonator box is not meant to be opened. It is fused together as there are no serviceable parts inside of it.
