yes distemper is something they get if another animal crosses their yard that is why u are suppose to get shots at 6 week old
1 to 3 shots a year. Unless they get sick a lot. Then there could be a lot more.
DHLP/Parvo vaccine. You can also get the vaccine with Corona added too. The vaccine is for Distemper, Hepatitis, Lepto, Parainfluenza & Parvo. A pup needs a series of vaccines (check with your Veterinarian) and thereafter, a booster once a year.
they should get shots once a year.
Each year, dogs have to get a shot to keep them from getting canine distemper.
All dogs need their shots. Every dog is like a human. Every human needs a shot, so dogs do too so they don't get sick.
The vaccine against distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza and parvovirus that is given to 1 year old puppies and dogs each year after.
Its usually charged by office visit, they will consider a ferret a pocket pet, so there for its normally between 35-50 dollars per visit now if you want shots such as distemper or rabies you will have to pay for the office visit plus rabies shot which is normally 15 dollars and a ferret distemper which is normally about 25 dollars
a booster is just an informal name used to refer to the shot that was initially given to your dog a year prior. It can be a distemper or rabies shot or another shot. booster is just your dog needing to be re-vaccinated since most vaccines only last for one year
This sounds bad, but probably not. 18 years is a long time for a cat to have lived and by now, it's probably got another 5 years -maximum- with the best health care and diet. Realistically, at most another 3.
No he should not, as it is a very safe and killed vaccine. He could probably be vaccinated for Rabies many many times in one year and have no reaction. Don't worry, better to be safe and know he has his Rabies vaccine than not.
