Yes, water is considered a fuel contaminant, and can definitely damage a car's engine.
Depending on how much water is in the tank there are a couple of options. If there's not too much water you can pour in a fuel additive like "Heet" or "DryGas". These products contain an alcohol that mixes with the water and allows it to burn off safely. However if there's a lot of water you may have to have the tank removed and either cleaned or replaced.
water or coca cola
Yes
no it would either blow up, not start or ruin your engine
Yes, get that thing out of there. It's gonna ruin your engine.
Putting sugar in a gas tank will mean a trip to the garage since the sugar will ruin the gas filter and go into the engine.
er yeah
You will ruin the engine and have to spend several thousand for a new one.
No, the engine will just not run or run poorly and smoke depending on how much diesel is in the tank. If you put very little just keep driving and fill the tank up with gas when you have 1/2 tank. If you put allot and the engine will not run then you will need to drain the tank, replace the fuel filter, blow out the lines, and fill the tank with gas.
probably this happened to me and it made my engine run rough and then eventually it ceased
Sugar water and diesel that is put in a fuel tank will ruin a cars engine. The sugar will sit for a few days before recognition, and the diesel could potentially be caught in the fuel filter.
It has been shown on the TV show MythBusters that bleach will oxidize the car's fuel system and engine, rusting everything up slowly over time and causing it to seize.Bleach is a particularly effective oxidant so it will do this in a matter of days.
damage engine no.. will the engine run no.
