Can you unbolt a window motor out of a 1997 jeep Cherokee door and bolt in manual crank?

You would need to remove the window regulator, and the motor. Replace them both and drill a hold through your door panel where the crank will come out.

Buy a Haynes Repair Manual or a Chilton Repair Manual for a 2000 Firebird. Both have clear schematics for all electrical systems.

Do a 83 caprice motor bolt up to a 86 cutlass transmission?

I think you will need to use the caprice tranny as the bolt holes are different on the olds tranny. Here is how it works if the motor is a Chevy you must use a tranny with the Chevy bolt patern. There is some trannys with both bolt pattern. (never seen one). If it is an olds motor you must use a BPO tranny. BPO is a Buick, Pontiac or Oldsmobile. I am sure that they do make adapter though (never seen one)

Does a 1992 Honda Civic 5-speen fit into a 1990 Honda Civic?

Honda civics engines and trannys are interchangeable. you could even put an acura integra motor into a Honda civic. the only one you may have a little trouble with is the prelude motor. from what ive learned, as long as there both the 4 cylinder, then they have the same motor mounts. so, you could swap your 90 motor with a 2000 k-20 from a Honda civic si. which the only thing is i think the shift linkage, because its a 6speed. yes, it interchanges. but you got a lot more options than that.

What is involved in converting a 1970s pickup from an automatic to a manual?

Usually more than you'd like to think of. Often different trannys use different shaft lengts, and may well have different reduction rations in the axles as well. Unless you have a complete donor vehicle available its usually easier and cheaper simply to look for a car that comes with the kind of transmission you want from the beginning. If there's something very special about your current car, consider buying another with the drivetrain that you want. Then switch trannys between both cars and then sell the one you don't want on.

Will a 1991 305 TBI bolt up to a 1984 s10 4speed that originally had a 2.8 liter?

That tranny will be a th350 or a th200R4 and both of those trannys will bolt up to a 305.
