Oleander is poisous to humans, but not to the touch. You have to eat it or make a tea with it in order to be harmed. The most recent sad story I know was a family on a driving trip pulled over and roasted hotdogs on sticks cut from oleander. The smoke from that plant is dangerious too and, as I recall, the family perished. However, they're a hardy, attractive plant, and if you remember they're poisonous, you should be okay.
ANS. OleanderThe oleander, or Nerium oleander, is considered by many to be the most poisonous plant in the world. All parts of the beautiful oleander contain poison -- several types of poison. Two of the most potent are oleandrin and neriine, known for their powerful effect on the heart. An oleander's poison is so strong, in fact, that it can poison a person who simply eats the honey made by bees that have digested oleander nectar.
Nerium oleander is poisonous to birds, pigeons included. It contains a toxic cardiac glycoside called oleandrin.Birds are usually smart and will know which plants to avoid nibbling on. It is very unlikely that a pigeon will eat your oleander plants.
it will get weak
Yes they are. My dog ate about 3 dried oleander leaves, unknowingly to me I did not know they were poisonous....she vomitted, got dehydrated, and went into renal failure. 3k later, and a awesome vet in Scottsdale, saved her. Nasty nasty trees.
you should take her to the vet right away if you think your cat has ate somthing poisonous what plant did she eat do you know?
Lots of plants and plant parts are poisonous or otherwise dangerous for rabbits. There are lists available online (see below Related Links) -- none of these lists are complete, though, so always consult more than one if you're researching a certain plant. Whenever you want to feed your rabbit a new plant, do an internet search on that specific plant to make sure it's safe for rabbits. When you a know a plant is rabbit-safe, then you can try it out on your rabbit: start with very small portions, just a bite or two, and then wait a few days before offering any more of it. Watch your rabbit for signs of ill-health. Rabbits are individuals so a plant might be safe for rabbits but your rabbit could have an allergy or intoleranc for it.
Poison. The plant is a poisonous plant. I don't know whether it's through asphyxiation or something else, but I know for sure that it definitely sounds like a poisonous plant.
I don't know if they are naturally poisonous, but chrysanthemums immediately come to mind (pyrethrins) and is where a large percentage of pesticides come from
There could be a plant that isn't safe for a rabbit to eat.
Yes Lantana plant contains a toxic substance called triterpenes. The unripe berries and leaves of the lantana plant can cause fatality especially when ingested.
