No, this is not an acceptable swap. The 225/55-17 tires will be 1.41" too large in overall diameter and will cause your speedometer to read 63.47 mph at a true 60 mph. Handling, ride, mileage, and performance will be adversely effected. A 195/55-17 would be acceptable. MY advice is to stick with the OEM size.

There is a sticker in the car right where the driver's side door meets the frame which shows the proper tire pressure for your tires. For this year, make, and model with these tires, the correct pressure should be 41psi while the tires are cold.

Fragmented question?? If you have under 3/32nd's remaining on your tires replace them. If you have wires hanging out of your tires replace them. Replace tires as needed or rather replace all at once if you do not like mis-matched tires. However many people will replace just two tires at a time then rotate when the other two need replacement.
yes. they will.
form_title=Replace 4 x 4 tires form_header=If you're tires or wheels are getting old or worn, it's time to replace them. What is the size of your current tires?=_ What type of weather does it drive in mostly?=_ How many tires need to be replaced?=_
Yes, you can
You can get Continental tires at many different tire shops. I do know that Good Year and Firestone does offer Continental tires. Also the dealerships such as Continental Audi or Acura defintely has the tires.
Both tires are the same width but have different overall heights. The 45 series is 25" tall. The 55 series is 26.5" tall. 225 divided by 25.4 will get the width in inches, then multiply that answer by the aspect ratio number i.e. .45 or .55 that will get the sidewall height. Then double that answer and add the diameter of the wheel i.e. 17. That will get the overall height. This should help you compare tires. Keep in mind different heights can cause speedometer inaccuracy.

Nitto Tires makes tires for these makes of cars: ACURA, ALFA ROMEO, ASTON MARTIN, AUDI, BENTLEY, BMW, BUGATTI, BUICK, CADILLAC ... This insinuates that these are a very high priced well manufactured brand of tires.
