Most normal ear piercings are usually 18 gauge.

But, it depends if you wear heavy earrings, or if you play with your earrings alot over the years. I went from the regualr earring to an 8

It might. Most lobe piercings are done at 18ga which is 1 mm and 14ga is 1.6mm. If you have scar tissue, theres a chance that it wont fit. I had scar tissue and I had to stay at 16ga for a while before 14ga would fit. If it does fit, it'll probably be a little red and a bit sore for a day or two. You can use vitamin e oil or jojoba oil to help.

Most ear piercings, I've found out, are 18 gauge, (sometimes 20). So I started out stretching to 16 gauge and now I'm going up to 4 gauge!

20g is about the size of a regular ear piercing.

18g, 16g and 14g are probably the smallest sizes to stretch your ears.

14g is safe to start stretching from, though.

20g. But that's a regular ear piercing size. So you'll move up to 18g.

You want to gauge your ears to about a 0 but you have a second piercing behind the regular one can you still gauge it as long as it doesn't become too big because you dont want the other one to rip?

If you're asking if you can stretch a second hole, then yes. The size it can reach depends on the individual's earlobe, hole spacing and like factors.

Are piercing earrings the same size as regular earrings?

Most studs are either 20ga or 18ga. Piercing shops will most likely pierce them at 16ga. Its perfectly fine to wear smaller gauge jewelry than what the piercing was done at.

How do you Permanently remove an Ear Piercing?

Simply remove your jewelry and leave the piercing empty. There is no guarantee that it will fully close, but as long as you are at a "regular" (18-20 gauge, standard post type earring size) or smaller gauge (4-16 gauge) it should shrink enough to go unnoticed.

Will a lip piercing stretch after age you get it?

Once any piercing is *seasoned (*over a year old ), so long as the jewellery is appropriate for the piercing in gauge and length or diameter the piercing will not stretch unless you change it to a larger gauge. So will you have this big gaping hole in your lip? Well no, if you stay with the jewellery you are sized to it should stay the same size during the *life of the piercing (* this is for however long you choose to keep the piercing ).

Is a 16 gauge the same as a regular earring?

No. The common, plain old, earring size is almost always 22 Gauge. 16 Gauge is just a bit smaller than the common piercing size of 14 Gauge. The size chart goes down in increments of two from 22 usually down into the negatives of 00 gauge, and then breaks down into diameters.
