Need to know what model it is, 3100, 3600 or 3800.
No they won't
No
not positive on a 3100 grand am motor, but for fact a buick 3800 six cylinder can be fitted. i don't know if you need to change the trans or not, but with some engine mount modifications it should be an easy swap.
The car body has two "3800" badges on the front quarter panels if you have the 3800 engine. 3100 models have no badges. The badges indicate the engine size which matches the transmission paired with it.
165 HP at 3800 RPMS.
depends on the car i have 2001 Buick regal and its a bigger motor than a Chevy impala.
Yes
Depending on motor, tranny, accesories. 3800-4100 pounds.
Sort of. It will require changing or building custom exhaust, rewiring to accept 3800 computer You will probably find it easier to use the 3800 transmission if its any good.
Loosen the rear transmission mount retaining bolt. Jack the transmission up a couple of inches. Remove the retaining bolt and the transmission mount.
