Your question is vague at best.
I assume you're alluding to automatic climate control or some form of thermostatically controlled a/c unit. If so, the answer is yes BUT, a/c should only come on if it's overridden from the automatic setting to the 'on' setting -- otherwise you have a broker regulator, thermostat or a malfunction in your unit.
Best of luck!
To turn off the dual zone auto air conditioning in a Peugeot 207, locate the air conditioning control panel. Press the "A/C" button to deactivate the air conditioning system. If your model has separate temperature controls for each zone, ensure both are set to the same temperature or adjust them to the desired setting. This will allow the system to operate in a single-zone mode.
The air conditioning will turn on with certain heater settings, typically any setting that mixes with the defroster. This to help remove moisture and improve the effectiveness of the defroster.
Use a spanner wrench $10 from Harley. Turn the base of the shock to the setting you want. 2nd to the lowest for solo and higher for 2 up.
It is too deep to warm all the way to the bottom. It will not experience autumnal turn over because the bottom (below the lowest thermocline) remains uniformly cold throughout the year.
To cool the air, you typically want to turn the temperature down by setting the thermostat to a lower temperature. This tells the air conditioning system to come on and remove heat from the air, creating a cooler indoor environment.
Only when you don't turn it on.
There are many reasons why an air conditioning compressor might not turn off. There is likely a wire that is not connected properly.
A central air conditioning unit will commonly turn on and off intermittently. To stop this, adjust the temperature on the thermostat or switch the unit either on or off rather than the automatic setting on the thermostat.
A manual air conditioning system is one where you can turn it off and on when you want and control the temperature at which it is set.

One possibility is that the air conditioning is on. My 2001 Elantra automatically starts the air when the fan setting is put to defrost. I have to remember to turn it off.
