I am a cheerleader/tumbler and have strained my back many times. I feel the best way to help ease the pain is by doing something called a back bend. That is when you stand up tall with your feet shoulder width apart and lean back with your arms up and arch your back to stretch it out.

Try doing some Yoga, It stretches out your muscles. Also, watch the way you sit and stand, as posture can affect your back. This is probbaly not a symptom of pregnancy unless you can see that your getting rounder and putting on pounds.
