buy a new starter motor yours is worn out
If you leave the lights on the battery goes down or anything else that uses the battery over night. But if that's not it, the battery is worn out and you need to buy a new one.
possibilities: * starter * electrical connection * low or worn battery * keyswitch * neutral safety switch. * corroded battery cables * ignition switch
The first thing is to check all connections. LIke the battery make sure the posts are clean and tight and it has a full charge. Check the the battery cables make sure they are tight where they attach to the car positive usually somewhere to the starter motor or around it and neg cable usually to the frame or the block. Check that your ignition fuses aren't blown. Sometimes a key switch can be worn out and doesn't have a good connection inside the switch. But my guess would be to check your battery connections and condition of the battery.
Battery condition/charging system, Dirty/loose battery connections, Dirty/loose connections at the starter, Worn out starter solenoid, Worn out brushes in starter motor, Worn out starter drive gear/flywheel assembly, Faulty or out of adjustment neutral safety switch, Faulty starter relay,
There are a number of things that could happen when you break open a worn out cell phone battery. You could have battery acid leak on your hands for example.
It did for me! Could be your cable is worn out.
The problem can be that the battery terminals are not tight enough or that the battery cables are worn out. A starter needs really tight contact to the battery in order to supply enough current to the solenoid and starter -- merely touching the terminals won't be enough.
No because that means that the terminals have worn out and the battery leaked acid
Sounds like the starter solenoid is bad also Check the battery cables for looseness and/or corrosion A weak battery or coroded, loose,or broken cables on/from battery to starter or engine ground will cause a starter selinoid to click without turning the starter. Less often, the windings in the starter or the brushes may be worn out, requiring a replacement. Salt deposit or corossion on the starter lugs also may rob power to the starter. It is VERY IMPORTANT to remove the negative battery cable first, before cleaning, removing or servicing the positive cable on the battery or the starter to avoid possible arcing or shorting battery voltage.
A battery in poor condition, Dirty battery cable connections, Loose battery cable connections, A worn out starter,
There are three common problems which are causing your car to stall when the clutch is engaged. These problems are either a worn out clutch plate, a warped pressure plate or disc, or a damaged throw out bearing.
