I was just prescribed Bactrim for strep and it was the worse antibiotic I have ever taken. It made me feel worse than I did in the first place. It gave me a severe headache, a tingling sensation in my legs, and a fever. Try to get a Z-pack.

∙ 9y agoLevofloxacin should not be used to treat the strep throat. This will lead to emergence of drug resistant bacteria in the body of patient. This higher antibacterial should be used sparingly. Certainly not for the strep throat. You can easily treat the step throat wit tablet penicillin 250 mg three times a day for ten days.
