the question should have read: would a blood test show a dosage prescribed if someone is on Adderall- or just a positive for this medication?
No for all of you dippers it will not
Only if they are checking for drugs in your system
It will not show up on routine blood testing. To see it you need to do a specific test for it. The test must be taken from an artery (no the usual vein), requires special equipments, and must be run immediately and so usually can only be done at hospitals.
yes it will
I think it will. I'm not sure. from, cleo1949
my doctor prescribed me 7.5 lortab but i was wonderin if it will show up on my blood test that im takin a 10 mg norco, since they both have hydrocodeine
NO! U/A's are such sophisticated tests these days that each substance above can be shown as separate drugs AND the actual amount of each drug you ingested. No matter how little or how large. Even the amount shows that you have taken less the prescribed dosage, more the prescribed dosage or the proper amount as directed.
No, it doesn't show up in just any blood test.
will buspirone show up in a blood or urine test
A CBC is a complete blood count test. Adderall will show on this test, but it is not what the doctors are looking into.
A Comprehensive Metabolic Panel is a group of tests that are designed to show electrolyte levels, glucose levels, organ function, such as kidney and liver… It does not show medication or drug levels in the body; this requires specific testing to determine the medication or drug and level. The CMP results may tip the doctor off, causing him/her to request other tests, which may include a drug test. Not all drug tests are equal; some require that a doctor request a specific drug test, or a testing for a specific drug. I am on a heavy duty pain narcotic; I have to have a blood test and urinalyses twice a year, to ensure that I am not taking other drugs along with my prescribed medication, as well as over indulging and taking more than what is prescribed for me. This requires a general drug blood test and a drug urine test, which can determine most drug use, but he must also run a specific test for the drug that I am prescribed, since it does not show up on normal drug tests.
depends how long ago you consumed it
I have a routine blood test to make sure I am taking my correct dose of Oxycontin's that I am prescribed, does it show the correct dosage because i am prescribed 3 a day and sometimes I have only taken 2 a day, because I had missed and I was told not to double take them? Also I had a urine test and I have to take another because the results came up inconclusive and I had my period at the time does that affect the test?
No. Only a blood test could show that.
it is the PSA blood test that tests the blood for the level of PSA
A test will show positive for Oxycontin whether you eat it, snort it or inject it. Sniffing won't change anything. BUT, if you're asking because it's been prescribed to you and you want to take the intranasal route instead, the test won't show that you've snorted it, and they can't discriminate against you for taking your prescribed medication. If it's prescribed to you and you sniff it it'll show the same positive it would if you eat it. Only way to beat a test, is to not ingest.
The GSR Blood test tests for oxidation levels in the blood. This can show oxidative stress in the blood cells.
