This depends on where they live. There are many parts of Australia, in the temperate and tropical regions of the north, where pet budgies will not get cold at all outside. In the wild, they live throughout the central deserts and grasslands, where winter nights become very cold. However, domesticated budgies are not used to these conditions, and if nights drop below 15 degrees Celsius, it is safer to bring them inside.
