NO. If the camshaft is broken it will not run. If the camshaft is worn it will run poorly.
Bad crank bearings . If the crank bearings are bad when the car warms up it will loose oil pressure. The reason being is there are holes in the crank where the bearings are and if the bearings have too much space between the the car will never build up enough pressure the oil will just run past the bearings and run back into the pan
A battery, and bearings help a car run. Bulbs help at night. Brakes help it stop.
Some engines do not have camshaft bearings to reduce complexity and manufacturing costs. In these designs, the camshaft may run directly in the engine block or cylinder head, using machined surfaces to support the camshaft instead of separate bearings. This approach can also save weight and space, making it suitable for certain applications, particularly in smaller or simpler engines. Additionally, it can enhance oil flow and reduce the number of parts that can wear out over time.
Signs of when your car needs new bearings: 1. The bearings are howling, or you may hear a knocking noise as you drive along 2. When your car is on a jack and you pull your tire back and forth and it feels like it shifts a little or is wobbly. 3. When your car is on a jack and you have a hard time spinning the tires. 4. If you take off the hub cap and it looks like all the grease has run out of the bearings.
cheap back up to crank sensor. it may allow the car to run with out crank sensor, though poorly
On older cars and all trucks use a coupler called an u-joint to join the trans, driveshaft and rearend together to power the car or truck. This coupler has tiny little bearings in it. When the bearings run out of grease or badly worn this will cause slop within the coupler. bottom line is it sounds like you need a new u-joint.
Just replaced the sensor in my continental and it is no starts and will run flawlessly but won't be a reliable car
Could be worn bearings [cam or main] a weak oil pump pressure relief valve or a weak oil pump
It may run but the best course of action is to have it checked out right away. If the cam sensor is bad, the engine could be damaged beyond repair.
if fan is wobbling, the fan hub bearings are worn out. so you need to figure out is it the fan bearings or the water pump. if the fan hub bearings are worn , eventually the fan will let go and smash your radiator, if water pump is problem it will cause overheating, and loss of coolant also fan can fall and hit radiator
Sure, if you want to totally destroy the engine. The more you run the engine the more damage is done to the bearings and rings.
