Yes it will, in fact it is possibly the best adhesive to bind almost anything to glass.
Epoxy or silicone would be best
Silicone, hard plastic, metal, glass
silicone(moulds), metal(handles) glass(bowls).........
You need a high temperature silicone glue to glue something to a hot glass surface. As the question has been asked in Food and Cooking categories, a common need is to repair glass oven doors / windows that have broken free from the fixing to the metal oven door. There are kits available to help with this sort of repair. See http://ovendoorglue.co.uk for example.A number of companies make high temperature silicone. Some manufacturers adhesive is red, others black, and rarely it can be obtained in white.Typically high temperature silicone adhesive can withstand temperatures up to 250 or 300 centigrade. The adhesive remains flexible at these temperatures - important where two surfaces of different material are to be bonded, and then subjected to heating and cooling. As the materials will expand at different rates, a rigid bond, with no flexibility, would in all likelihood fail.
Generally, 2-Part Epoxy would be the glue of choice for metal to plastic.
No
silicone is a non metal. it is not reacting with butane.
Window Film is a laminate of optically clear polyester coated with molecule sized exotic and precious metal coatings which is bonded to glass by high tech clear adhesives. A scratch resistant coating is applied on one side; a mounting adhesive layer and a protective release liner are applied to the other side. When the release liner is removed, the side of the film with the adhesive is applied to the interior surface of the glass. Distilled water with a mild slip solution activates the adhesive. The mounting solution is pressed out with special tools. Each piece is hand trimmed on site. Window Film can be clear, colored, or patterned to blend with various design schemes. Various thicknesses are available for solar, safety, or security applications.

If you ask your piercer, they should be able to put a clear glass retainer in instead of a ring or metal stud.
