No. Those are both codes for fuel system vapor leaks, such as a loose gas cap.

P0442: Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (small leak) P0455: EVAP Large Leak Detected
Both of these codes indicate a leak in the evaporative emissions control system. The most common cause of this code is a bad fuel gas cap.
Both codes refer to vapor leaks from the fuel system. You need to check for cracked hoses
Two common causes are loose gas cap and cracked hoses between the tank and engine.
well a p0138 is an o2 sensor problem and as for the P0455 the evap system has a very large leak over 40 microns and it may need a fuel cap the P0442 and the P0455 usually go together one is the cause of another
Try replacing your gas cap with a dealer one. If doesn't work, find a mechanic near you with a smoke machine. They will be able to tell you just what's wrong.
They all have to do with evaporative emission system leaks. You probably have cracked vaccuum hoses under the air cleaner box, and possibly under the van at the charcoal canister.
P0455 and P0452 have to do with fuel vapor leaks, will not cause a starting problem. P0340 is a cam sensor code. You need to diagnose for a failed cam sensor.
I'm sure the evap. codes you mentioned aren't why it's not starting. My codes (1684, p0456, p0455, p0442) were all caused by a 3/8 by 3" long hose connecting the tube running to the front of the engine to the ldp. The ldp is located on the passenger side behind and above the gas tank. The tubing is 3/8 but it's connrcted to a 7/16 nipple. Great design huh!
Yes. The DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble Code) P0442, P0454, P0455, P0456, may come up.
A large EVAP leak, probably a faulty gas cap
The PO442, if I'm not mistaken..is the code I was getting for an "Emissions Leak"-small.. sometimes caused by the gas cap, but mine was a leaking "vacuum type hose" located back at the gas tank.. finally found it, by having Jeep running and got under the back of the Jeep, I could hear it, right above the gas tank.. reached up and touched and could feel and hear it " HISS" even more.. hope this helps you.
