In most states, Child Protective Services (CPS) will conduct a drug test when a drug problem is being investigated, such as being caught with pot in jurisdictions where it is illegal. When they issue a drug test, it tests for a wide variety of illicit substances, one of which is the benzodiazepine class of drugs. Xanax (or alprazolam, which is the generic name) belongs to this class, and will show up in the drug test.

You will be taken into custody. Since CPS is giving the drug test you must all ready be on probation or have a problem. You will be taken to juvenile court and held in the juvenile justice system.
If a judge has signed a court order for you to have a drug test as part of evaluation from Child Protective Services, yes you have to submit to a drug test.
They can and will test you for any and all drugs. You just need to stop all drug use. It's worth it for your children.
If the drug test is not court ordered, you do not have to submit to it. However, CPS may take your child until a court order is in place.
If it is anything like the test given by the CPS; then, a five part test includes a search for THC, Cocaine, Opiates, Meth, and Benodiazepines.
well it depends what drug, if you go to rehab or not, how nice the person is that visits, i mean probably not if you take the steps to get clean in a certain amount of time, but if not, their gone...
No, but there's about a 99.9% chance they will go to court and get an order to compel you to test with an accompanying trip to the nearest jail.
It's called an "observed" drug test, and if they believe you might try pulling a fast one on them - putting something in the sample, using your kid's pee, whatever - they are within their rights to do one.
Don't take drugs. Also, one might try avoiding substances which can cause false positives on tests.
