yes, they should, up to 87.
Yes
Not fit. Different blocks, altogether.
Not fit. Different blocks, altogether.
The heads will fit the block, but the vortec intake manifold will not bolt to the old style heads.
Yes they will, but 305 heads have a smaller combustion chamber so it may raise your compression ratio.
intake no, heads yes.
Yes, they should fit ok. 305 heads should bump up the compression a little.
305 heads of course, 350 heads will fit for sure and possibly 400. obviously no big block heads will fit. a 305 with 400 heads gets you a little over 352. 350 with 400 heads is a 383. add and divide
Heads off a 454 engine will not fit a 305 engine A 454 is a big block and a 305 is a small block. Even if they did fit it would probably run poorly due to low compression because the combustion chambers on the the 454 heads are larger than the ones on the 305 heads
If the ports on the heads on the 88 are the same as your 76 intake it should work.
Possibly if Chevy made a 300.
all external bolt on parts will work. heads, intake, dist, cam, pan, timing chain, oil pump etc. should all work as well. most internal parts will not work though. such as pistons crank rods and block. The 305 crank will fit the 350, but will need to be balanced. i would not use the 305 heads due to small compression chambers.
