If it is real led (which most likely not) it is VERY poisonous and can even kill the dog. But, if you have the new pencils which led is made out of graphite it shouldn't really hurt the dog but you should talk to your vet about how much the dog consumed and see if it will hurt the dog and stuff like that.
Pencils no longer contain lead. Pencils are made from graphite, so it shouldn't poison your dog.
If a dog eats a colored pencil the result you will find is lead in the feces.
Why would you want to eat a pencil? And why would it effect your dog if you did
Probably... if your dog did that, then take it to the animal clinic immediately!
Probably. Take him to a vet.
kill it.
yes! eating the nip of pencil is harmful if its made up of graphite
Definitely take it to the vet. The cigarettes could kill the dog.
If lead pencils were the ONLY thing you ate, it would kill you in a lot less time than that. Pencils do contain some digestible fiber (in the wood), while the graphite "lead" doesn't provide much in the way of nutrition. The "lead" in a pencil is actually not the element lead, which can be toxic; it is graphite, which is powdered carbon. Eating one pencil "lead" is pointless, but harmless.
