Yes, depending on which aircraft you have but there is no indication that you have broken the sound barrier unfortunately.
The purpose of the FSX SDK is to create utilities, new scenery, missions, and aircraft. And it is not necessary to install it, usually a FSX newcomer who is new to the simulator series won't even install the SDK initially. They may later install it and use it to create aircraft and scenery and utilities.
