No, most companies don't buy broken merchandise. Some "buy-back" broken merchandise (a refund).
If your Xbox 360 broke, and you think you need to buy a new one, you may want to look into having it repaired or refurbished. It might be cheaper.
If you are interested in selling a broken Xbox 360, you may be able to find some individual that would want to buy it in interest of repairing or toying with it.

However you can try selling to a merchant who buys (not trades) broken electronics. These people take out the spare parts and use them to repair other consoles, either as a hobby or job.
Xbox is prone to breakages such as cables melting, fans cracking, overheating, dust clogging and so on. It is an extremely poorly designed console. In fact, more Xbox 360's have been broken than any other console in history.
PS3 is rapidly becoming far more popular than Xbox.
