Very unlikely. I won't say it is impossible because the oil is still spilling and currents can change.
Current movements favor an eastern movement with most of the damage occurring in the Louisiana to panhandle region of Florida. In early May, there was speculation that the oil spill would enter the loop current, and go down to Key West, then up the east coast. However eddy currents have pulled part of the spill away from the loop current.
I might add that the longer the oil spill that could enter the loop current ("the tendril") stays in the clockwise circulating eddy, the more it will disperse and degrade, and less of an environmental threat.
I have included a webpage from the University of South Florida, which has four different forecasts, none of them show the oil entering the loop current. A picture is worth a thousand words- please see the related link.
