Will hot temperature have any effect on music CD's packed in a suitcase?

They shouldn't. X-rays used at the airport usually aren't that strong and besides, the info on CD's/DVD's is burned on the aluminized layer on the disk.
About the only thing I know for sure that'll trash the data on a disk besides damaging the layer on the disk is if you pop it into a microwave for 3-5 seconds, which I use to make sure that the data on the disk is destroyed.
Using a microwave to trash a disk not only puts on a great light show as the layer on the disk burns away, it's also a bit on the smelly side too. BUT, there's no doubt the data's trashed. And no, a few seconds in a microwave doesn't seem to hurt it either.

Apply the glue on the suitcase and not on the Styrofoam. Leave this to dry completely before using it. Building a music instrument case from a simple suitcase requires you to have some knowledge of craft. You have to be precise. However, when you do this job well, you will be saving hundreds of dollars and having a case that was made for your prized instrument.
