The speed of light is exceeded by several things. Wave guides for instance. However all present theories preclude any information or mass to exceed the speed of light.

Neutrinos have never been sent through the CERN collider at super-luminal velocities.

Does dark matter pass trhough human bodies?

It is believed that dark matter does pass through human bodies and all other matter in the universe. However, dark matter interacts very weakly with ordinary matter and thus, it does not have any noticeable effects on our bodies or everyday life.

When light hits the earth's surface does it continue through?

Nope. Light particles (photons)are nowhere near energetic enough to do that. On the other hand, tiny super-high-energy particles called, "Neutrinos" from outside the Earth are right now passing through you, me, and the entire Earth. There are not many materials dense enough to stop Neutrinos!

How many neutrinos from supernova SN 1987A were detected on Earth?

There are somewhere around 65 billion neutrinos per second passing through every square centimeter perpendicular to the Sun. By far the majority of those also come out the other side... baryonic matter is essentially transparent to neutrinos.

Why do neutrinos pass through the Earth without stopping?

They are so small they can go straight through. Heres why: Atoms are spinning so fast that they look solid. Picture a fan, the blades - when still -have large spaces between them. Your hand could easily pass through. But if the blades were spinning, your hand would be cut off. This is similar with atoms, where the electrons are spinning so fast that it feels solid. Neutrinos are so small that they can pass through these gaps, when our hands are to big to fit through and matter appears to be solid. Thus at the macro level it is solid, but at a subatomic level you are walking through air.

What kins of materials apparently moved through the egg membrane?

Water.

What travels on through solids?

Neutrinos.

Is there any known substance capable of preventing neutrinos from passing through it?

not really. neutrinos barely even notice the existence of matter.

Is it possible that neutrino showers will be the cause of earth's end?

I very much doubt it.We are bombarded by neutrinos from the Sun every second. It has been estimated that more than 50 trillion neutrinos pass through the human body every second. - that's one good shower.

What does a neutrinos do?

Neutrinos are elementary particles that travel close to the speed of light, lack an electric charge, are able to pass through ordinary matter almost undisturbed and are thus extremely difficult to detect. Neutrinos have a minuscule, but non-zero, mass that was too small to be measured as of 2007.

Do the about the same number of neutrinos pass through your body at night as during the day?

Yes.

How does the number of neutrinos passing through your body at night compare with the number passing through your body during the day?

About the same

What travels through empty space and through matter?

One example would be X-Rays. They are stopped by Lead, but travel through other matter and empty space.

Can neutrinoes pass through all matirials in the Earth?

Neutrinos can pass through the entire Earth itself as if it's almost not there at all.

What are neutrinos-?

Neutrinos are subatomic particles, which exist in three "flavours" - the electron, muon and tao neutrino (listed in order of increasing ass); each of these also has a respective antiparticle. Most of the neutrinos incident on the Earth are "Solar Neutrinos" (neaning that they are emitted by the sun. The neutrinos oscillate between the different "flavours", which are determined by their respective masses, and are extremely unreactive - more than 50 trillion neutrinos go the human body every second! As the masses of the neutrinos are very minimal - virtually zero - neutrinos travel at near-light speed. There have been several experiments dedicated to the detection of neutrinos, the most notable being T2K and SNO amongst others; SNO is currently being re-activated with enhanced detection prospects through the use of an organic scintillating fluid, as is now named SNO+.

Is the sun producing the expected amount of neutrinos?

Because gravity overcomes electron degeneracy pressure and the electrons are forced into the nuclei. When the electrons enter the nucleus they merge with the protons emitting neutrinos. The nuclei then merge leaving a neutron star held up by neutron degeneracy pressure or gravity makes it collapse to a black hole.

What about the neutrino coming from space?

Neutrinos are high energy particles. Earth is bombarded with more than million neutrinos every day that pass right through the earth, and everything on it. So they are very hard to detect, but special techniques have been developed for this too.
