It can take up to a month for the gums to completely heal from a molar tooth being pulled. You will notice it is started to heal within the first week.
No. Generally speaking an absessed tooth can be saved by antibiotic therapy and root canal therapy together. There are times when a tooth cannot be saved though- when not enough tooth structure is left to support a crown or "cap", or when a root is actually fractured. Sometimes an absessed tooth is caused from a periodontal problem or in other words, a gum problem. This requires antibiotics and debridement or "deep cleaning" - or surgery.
Not necessarily. It depends on your health status and how complicated the extraction is (i.e. surgical extraction of a wisdom tooth). Usually your body is able to heal itself and if you keep your mouth clean and follow the dentists instructions you should not have any complications after an extraction. A. final year dental student
I started drinking soda after i got my tooth pulled when i could brush without any bleeding . also be careful not to get an m and m mini stuck inside your gum cuz i almost did that
You shouldn't use tobacco at any time; it's a nasty and expensive habit. Smoking can decrease your blood oxygen concentration, which means that you will heal more slowly from an injury such as a tooth extraction. If you've been a smoker, use this as a good excuse to quit.
If you loose a tooth that will not grow back it will just heal up over time like if you were to remove wisdom teeth, but it never hurts to ask your dentest
Gargle warm water with salt in it and spit it out. Do this 3 - 4 times a day. Salt is good for toughening up the gums (I do it every day) and also to help heal faster.
