While I was on probation, I was given my initial drug test which I failed because they detected marajuana.
As far as I know, the initial drug test given to you will search for any illegal drugs in your system.
After failing the initial drug test, I had to pass 6 tests in an 18 month period without failing, given at any time.

∙ 13y agoTexas tests for Methadone. Not a broad-spectrum opiate test either, but the actual "methadone." It showed up in mine after a one time 30 mg dose and like 5 days later.

And it would only come up as methadone.Probation uses A standard 16 panel drug screening.Most drugs tested are tested for certain chemicals in that drug.Like cocain is primarily excreted out of your body within 4-6 hours aftr use. its the chemicals it excretes that they test for.Like cannibas. its thc delta 9.That its tested for. not the drug itself.This is how these type of drugs can be detected days even months after use.However methadone uses A very specific drug screening which is very costly. And not guarenteed.I wouldnt suggest any drugs.However you should be good with methadone.

∙ 12y agoIt really depends on if your probation officer uses a "10 panel" drug screen. Meaning it tests for 10 different drugs and their metabolites. It will test for all common drugs and methadone. If they use a lesser panel drug screen, which is more common, it will probably test for opiates but not methadone. Methadone is not an opiate (its synthetic) therefor it must be tested for specifically. No. It will not show up on a standard drug test. Unless they are testing you specifically for methadone. It doesn't show up as a opiate. Believe me I'm on both methadone and probation. Lol

I have also given urine samples for jobs, and methadone does not show up, EVER!!!
