Yes you can put a pair of tens behingd the seat. any sub bigger then that will need a bigger box and it will not fit behind the seat. anonymous@oola.com
True, there is no stock subwoofer in that truck.. for good sub ideas, go to mtx.com and check out their thunderform enclosures. They are vehicle specific That truck doesn't have a stock sub.... == == umm i did the same thing as you only i got a bazooka nos 8 subwoofer tube and fact of the matter it dosent fit behind the seat in a regular cab i took out my console and mounted it in between my seats it is the nos inspired one it looks awesome.
The amplifier that powers the subwoofer is located just above and to the left of the subwoofer (rear passenger side underneath vent window).
measure the diameter of the hole for the speaker/subwoofer and the distance to each bolt hole to asure you get the right subwoofer to fit properly.
the subwoofer, i believe, is under your passenger seat -- move the seat all the way forward and you'll be able to see it from the back seat (rear right side door opening, that is). the layman's way to figure out if it's working is to play some music and rest your hand on the subwoofer -- does it vibrate with the bass?
It is located underneath the seat.
You can typically install the subwoofer in the trunk of your car, and position it accordingly to get the sound you want. You can direct it towards the interior of the seat but do not keep it too close to the seat as you might damage the subwoofer. If it has the premium sound package which includes a 6-disc in dash changer, it should have a subwoofer under the front passenger seat.
Just get a measuring tape and check it for yourself. Plus you really didn't give us any specs on if it's and angle box, SE or a Base modeled b3000, where are you putting it. If its behind the seat on an angle you should be able to get a 12" subwoofer in an angle box behind there.
A small 10" subwoofer would give enough bass to fit a small car and leave enough room.
There are two small buttons underneath the front edge of the seat bottom. You may need to pull the carpet back a bit to see them. You will probably be better off trying to feel for them. Press the button firmly. It will take some force. You will hear a pop and the seat will move slightly. You can do one side at a time.
