How do you soften the vibrations on a Jeep grand Cherokee with modified shock absorbers?

First thing to do is make sure you do not have to much air pressure in the tires. Air the tires up to exactly what is listed in your owner's manual and on the driver's door post. This will help some. But remember you are driving a Jeep, and none of them ride great. That is just part of owning a Jeep. Tires have more effect on ride than your shocks. You could trey new shocks but unless yours are worn out, this will not help enough to justify the cost.

Are new shocks required for a 2 inch spring coil lift on a 2003 jeep wrangler?

Not necessarily. From what i understand, though, if you decide not to get shocks to accompany the longer springs, your ride quality will be a sloppy mess. If you have the extra cash, it would be best to get shocks that have more travel.

How do you make a 1999 Chevy Tahoe ride better?

Try getting new shocks and struts along with some new tires. That should provide a nice smooth ride. Answer: Well my struts are stock. but i have some bilstein shocks in the back and am going to some on the front that helps. but the tires make more of a difference. i would go with Firestone Destinations the L/E or M/T are good Answer: Have you had it aligned?

How do you replace shocks on a Chevy Suburban?

Jack car up and remove tires for easy access, then simply unbolt front shocks and replace with new shocks. On the rear some models come with a type of ride leveling shock that will be noticeably fatter than a normal shock, this type of shock called Nivomat MUST be replaced with a comparable expensive Nivomat shock or you need to buy a replacement kit that includes new springs and regular shocks, this kit uses different springs to compensate for the non Nivomat shocks. To replace rear shocks you would follow similar steps to the front, jack up car, remove tires and simply unbolt the shocks and re-install the new shocks in the same order.
