Gerbils really don't care about the color of the other gerbils in the tank with them, they really care about personality. For all we know, they could be color blind.
Find a friend or a neighbor to take care of them. Before you leave, clean their cage. Also, leave directions on what and how much to feed the gerbils. (I've been in this situation before)

If i was you i would take the parents away from the gerbils because after you have touched the little gerbils it will have your smell on them so the parents wouldn't recognise them and after a bite they will eat them

Well, what do you mean?If your leaving on vacation without the iguana then you can ask someone to take care of it for you while you are gone.If your on vacation with the iguana, well it's better to do some safe activities inside with the animal. Lame, I know but at least you won't lose him/her, and they won't get hurt.
