Not if the are the same fitting wise and gaskets are used if necessary. There could be differences as the vortec is designed differently.
Passenger valve cover up to 95 vortec 4.3 and drivers side valve cover 96 and later vortec 4.3 plastic hose going to the top of it on either version.
if it is a 4.3l vortec it is on drivers side valve cover
burnt valve...
I know on my vortec engine the valve cover bolts are in the center of the cover and there is only 4, my racecar has vortec heads and my truck has standard stock heads with four bolts on thew corners
look om the passengers back side of the valve cover. You need to take off the vortec cover.
how much torque for a Chevy Z71 350 vortec engine valve cover
how do you set valve on 1998 350 vortec
5.7 later valve adjustment procedure begins with the removal of the valve cover. Each valve has an adjustment screw. The screws can be turned to adjust the valves.
The PCV valve is on top rear of the engine, under the vortec cover. You must take the cover off to get to it, I believe it is an 8MM socket. However, (at least on mine) the valve is not replaceable.
I think there is no torque required for the valve cover as long as all are evenly tightened or the seal is flat on the cylinder head it will not cause any leak. If you have tightened the valve cover screws already and there are still leaks you might want to consider putting silicone on the valve cover gasket before you attach it or you might want to consider buying a new valve cover gasket.
I would not expect a valve cover leak to cause a car to stall. A valve cover leak can fill the spark plug area with oil which can cause rough running.
wat the #@$!& is a valve cover ...who cares about sparks!!!!
