I would choose a one note solo with feeling by Neil Young over a robotic 1000 note solo by Steve vai. As for the best guitarist ever, i would have to say rory gallagher, Hendrix said himself that gallagher was the best in the world, yet gallagher never features on the lists of greatest guitarists. (check out "bad penny", gallagher at his best) Are you insane many guitarists have far surpassed his ability, as if they have knowone can compete with Jimi's ability not even Clapton , Jimmy Page or Rory Gallagher ect ect.. Hendrix turned the guitar into a true instrument he played it behind his back and played it with his teeth he could do anything, Jimi is the god of the guitar end of, oh and the answer is yes he is the greatest guitarist ever anyone with half a brain cell knows that. Who is this guy at the top, of course Jimi Hendrix is the best, any fool knows that. He must have been born in 1990. And Arctic Monkeys is not the best group, and Soundgarden didn't start rock 'n roll, and America was not started by Denzel Washington.
