Of Course not.
Prenatal vitamins are the best. Ask your doctor. Don't take vitamins which are not specifically for pregnant women as some (like vitamin A) can cause problems. With vitamins more is not better.
Yes, and no. Vitamin C boosts your immune system, which may cause flares or for you to feel unwell. It is difficult to find a prenatal without Vitamin C, but if you can find a prenatal with just folic acid, you will be fine.
Vitamin A in too high of doses can cause birth defects so the amount you get in your daily diet and your prenatal vitamin should be enough.
it didnt matter the brand but i found that taking them at night before bed didnt make me as sick Everyone I tried caused me to be sick. I ended up taking Flintstones, actually under the advice of my OB! I have to agree. Taking them at night helped a lot. My doctor prescribed a prenatal vitamin called Natelle. It was a pink pill... almost had a sweet coating on it. I never had any problems with it, which was incredible because I had such a hard time with smells, flavors, etc. when I was pregnant. She said she prescribes this brand the most because she believes it's the most gentle.
Gummy prenatal vitamins are just as effective as regular prenatal vitamins. They have the same vitamins and beneficial factor as a regular prenatal vitamin. Gummy prenatal vitamins are a good alternative because some regular prenatal vitamins may cause constipation.
Women who are pregnant should not take normal vitamins. They should ask their doctor for special, prenatal vitamins. Some cases show that too much vitamin A can cause birth defects in children. http://www.womenshealth.gov/faq/pregnancy-medicines.cfm
Prenatal vitamins are formulated for pregnant women to support fetal development and typically contain higher levels of certain nutrients. For men, taking prenatal vitamins is unlikely to cause breast growth, as breast development is primarily influenced by hormonal factors, particularly estrogen. However, excessive intake of certain nutrients, like phytoestrogens, could potentially affect hormone levels. Generally, men should consult a healthcare professional before taking prenatal vitamins or any supplements.
No prenatal vitamins do not cause you to miss your period - they are vitamins, thus have no influence on your menstrual cycle. Consider that if prenatal vitamins did cause you to miss your period (which would only happen if you missed ovulation) then they would prevent pregnancy, this work against those who were taking them!
Yes it can. When I got pregnant i had long thick hair an when i started taking my prenatal vitamins my hair started falling out.But i kept taking them so my baby would be healthy an my daughter is now 2 almost 3 an it is still falling out.
Yes!!!! Please take the vitamins. The vitamins contain an essential nutrient called Folic Acid. Folic Acid is important to the devloping baby. The Folic Acid helps the proper formation of the baby, including the spine. It also helps in the proper formaion of cells.
Toxins can cause damage to the prenatal fetus that can result in mental retardation by interferring with brain development. It can occur at any time during the pregancy, that is what pregnant women have to be very careful about what they come in contact with and what they consume.
I was having a 'normal' pregnancy and HCG levels rising until I started taking my prenatal vitamins. Then 4 days later, I suffered a miscarriage. I found out that my coworker also suffered a miscarriage after she had been on her prenatal vitamins for 5 days. Maybe a coincidence, maybe not.
