The beast does not have the power of Christ to lay down his life and take it up again. He can parody the work of Christ but cannot duplicate the work of Christ.

Public revelation began with the apostle Abraham, and ended with the death of the apostle St. John.

Where do they say the antichrist is from?

You can find the "antichrist" in a number of places in the Bible. in Daniel 7, the antichrist is the little horn. In Revelation 13, the antichrist is the sea beast, and in Revelation 17, the antichrist is the Whore of Babylon. The descriptions of these Bible characters perfectly match the Papal Church of Rome. Rome is the nation that the "little horn" comes from. Rome is the nation that crucified our Lord, and it is Rome that percesuted the saints of God throughout history. *************** May I add this for your consideration? Anyone or anything that counterfeits the true gospel plan of salvation and that openly or secretly opposes Christ. John the Revelator described the antichrist as a deceiver (1 Jn. 2:18-22; 4:3-6; 2 Jn. 1:7). The great antichrist is Lucifer, but he has many assistants, both spirit beings and mortals.

How many antichrist is mentioned in the Bible?

There are five verses in the Bible that deal with this word and they are:1 John 2:18 "and ye have heard that antichrist shall come"1 John 2:22 "He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son"1 John 4:3 "this is that spirit of antichrist"1 John 1:7 " this is a deceiver and an antichrist"1 John 2:18 "even now there are many antichrists" (Strongest Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible). In the Old Testament, 'antichrist' was an individual (Dan. 7:25; 8:10,13; 11:40) or a group of people (Dan. 7:7-28) who oppose God and His purpose (1 John 2:18,22; 4:3; 2 John 7). Many Jews viewed the arrival of Antiochus Epiphanes IV as the embodiment of these verses. Yet the rule of Antiochus did not meet the full expectations of these Scriptures. In 1 John 2:18, antichrists were human teachers who had left the church. In 2 Thess. 2:1-12, the antichrist figured is armed with satanic power and is fused with Belial, a satanic being. In Revelation, the Roman Caesar is the antichrist. The Bible clearly represents "antichrist' as any one person or group of people who are in opposition to God.

Is the word antichrist mentioned in Isaiah?

The word antichrist is not mentioned in the book of Isaiah. The word antichrist is mentioned 4 times in the Bible. It is mentioned in 1 John 2:18, 1 John 2:22, 1 John 4:3 and in 2 John 1:7.

How is the Antichrist mentioned in the book of John?

No. The word "antichrist" is mentioned only in John, but there are indirect references in other books of the Bible, including Daniel and Revelation, to some specific individual that some consider "THE antichrist", though others argue that the Bible describes no specific antichrist, but rather that "antichrist" is a description for anyone who denies Christ's teachings. The person described in Revelation as "the beast", with the number 666, is not identified in Revelation as "the antichrist", though some people feel this is splitting hairs, and feel he is anyway, in the sense that he's the most powerful of the anti-christs, with the power to create miracles, and thus to fool people into believing him to be a prophet. However, most conventional historians and scholars usually agree that the beasts described in Revelation, are allusions to Nero and other figures and institutions that existed at the time Revelation was written. One of the better descriptions of this is in the section labeled "Preterist view", at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beast_of_Revelation The events described in Revelation, starting with the appearance of the second beast, take place long after many other calamitous worldwide events, which don't fit the description of any events the world has seen so far. So, if the Book of Revelation were true, then the appearance of the beasts would not occur for some time to come, so that anyone becoming a worldwide leader, or tyrant, before the occurrence of the prophesied prior calamitous events, would not represent "the antichrist" anyway.

Was Hitler the Antichrist of biblical prophesy?

No. The Bible defines Antichrist as someone who denies that Jesus has come in the flesh (2 John 7): "For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist" (also see 1 John 2:22). There were a number of antichrists ("deceivers") in John's day. In fact, he states, "Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen; from this we know that it is the last hour" (1 John 2:18). The presence of these antichrists led John to the conclusion that it was "the last hour." This is a refernce to the prophetic events that were on the horizon, namely the destruction of Jerusalem that took place in A.D. 70. John is not describing a distant political figure Ike a Hitler or Mussolini; he had certain people in mind who were alive when he was writing and held certain theological opinions about Jesus. You will notice that Revelation does not use the word "antichrist." Also, there are no verses in the Bible that teach an antichrist will rule over the world for seven years. In fact, the phrase "seven years" does not appear in Revelation. The use of Daniel 9:27 as evidence for a distant future antichrist is untenable. It's Jesus who makes a covenant with His people: three years of ministry and three years of gospel proclamation before the gospel goes to the nations (Acts 10).

Where john the apostle traveled after Jesus' death?

He wrote the three books of John and the last book the book of Revelation later on the island of Padmos.

How many times is the Antichrist mentioned?

4 times. Three times in the book of 1st John at 1 John 2:18, 1 John 2:22, and 1 John 4:3. Once at 2 John verse 7. Interestingly though, at least once John referrs to the antichrist in plural form, meaning that there are more than one who are called the antichrist, and he indicated that the influece of the antichrist was already at work in his day, some 2000 years ago. The antichrist is not one person, but a collective group that make up those who deny the Christ, and was already active way back in the Apostle John's day.

What nationality will the Antichrist be?

One Answer:There is no scripture in the Bible that speaks of a particular person called "THE ANTICHRIST."Scripture speaks of a "SON OF PERDITION," of a "BEAST," and of a "FALSE PROPHET."And it's upon these prophesied end time names that men have taken the liberty of associating their pet name: "THE Antichrist" - a totally unbiblical entity that the world has completely embraced, fallen for... and for whom it is actively searching. This is actually completely correct... The Church systems associated the name Anti-Christ with Satan who plays the roll of the false prophet.Your question is what nationality is the False Prophet?Your answer has multiple parts1) He is associated with the King of the North (Seleucid Empire as example) in Daniel 112) He is described as his own King (Dreadful Terrible) in Daniel 7 and associated with the old Roman empire (one of the heads of the 7 headed beast identified in Revelation 13, 17)3) He is described in Revelation 13 as appearing like the lamb (Christ-Revelation 5) but speaks like a dragon (Revelation 12)Another view:1 John 2:18 says:"Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists...." so 'antichrist' is real, but, as was mentioned, it's not one person. As usual, the Bible interprets itself and we can find out who the antichrist is by reading1 John 2:22 where it says:'Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son."(1 John 4:3)(2 John 7)So, the antichrist includes all those, throughout the years, who deny that "Jesus is the Christ," and who deny that Jesus is the Son of God who came "in the flesh", including, among others, any who once knew the truth, but left (1 John 2:19)and any who take a stand against Jesus' role in God's purpose. (Psalms 2:1+2)
