No you can't play DS games on a Wii. Though some DS such as Animal Crossing have additional benefits if you have both a DS and Wii. I agree. And also the fact that a DS has two screens, and the TV hooked up to the Wii has one; so that would be another issue.
ya its true ..u should try it k
Now, you may think that slot in the Wii was made for DS games, but it's actually used for an SD card. What's the SD card for? It's for when you use up all of your Wii System Memory, you then start saving your data on an SD card. Use up all the space on the SD card too? Buy another SD card. Anyway, the Wiki Answer is NO, you cannot play DS games on your Wii.

Go to the town gate and talk to Copper. I'm pretty sure you say "I wanna go out" and click the option that has "DS" in it. By the way, if you do this, you will lose your wii game. Copper tells you more than I can about this but I hope it helps.
A Nintendo Wii game that's also for Nintento DS. You use your own Nikmon to beat up evil Nikmon. It's for Wii, Nintendo DSI and Nintendo 3DS. So yeah. You play with any Nikmon that has evolutions. Such as Goldecko-Goldspike, Mossquak-Junglebird and Burburn-Burbarbé.
