in 1998 gm started putting the LS1 engine in the trans ams and z28, firehawk, ss. yes it will fit. it is the same engine.
yes it should bolt right in.
If it's automatic, no.
305 at the crank for camaro and trans am and 345 for the corvette
starters are underneath the car where the engine and trans meet. they are on the passenger side I believe.
NO it will not. The V-6 and V-8 transmissions are different in size. You must get a V-8 trans for the 5.7L engine.
What engine? It does make a difference!
Yes, it is the exact same trans as the 92 3.1. Also, the 2.8l and 3.1l are basically the same engine.
well it depends on the year, you can not buy a Trans Am with a V6 in it, they are all V8's, Camaro had the option of V6 or V8. In 77 - 81 Trans Am had two front headlights on each side where camaro had one large round one and a smaller one on each side. In 82 - 02 Trans Am had Flip up headlights and camaro did not. All the parts are interchangeable except the whole front end.
Yes a bigger engine up to a 5.7 liter V8 motor can be installed into the 99 Camaro. 9 times out of 10 the transmission will fit but it will last no time with that bigger motor since it was made to handle a 3.8 V6. So if you plan on swapping the engine then it will be just as wise to swap to a better Trans to handle that bigger engine.
Yes
2011 Camaro SS is not supercharged from the factory. If you put a supercharger on it, the horsepower rating will depend on how much boost you use. A stock 2011 manual transmission SS Camaro comes with the LS3 engine rated at 426hp, and a 2011 stock auto trans SS Camaro comes with the L99 engine, which is rated at 400hp.
