If they are the exact same size yes, they will work, but normally they are not as large as the front brakes pads and will not fit.
No. The front and rear brake pads are not interchangeable on a 2005 Jeep.
Front brake pads will wear out much faster than rear brakes pads on a properly functioning and normally driven vehicle, this happens because front brakes do most of the work when slowing down. Rear brakes pads will last more than 3 times longer than front pads.
Brembo are the original fitment EBC brake pads work just as well and are half the price. Sintered pads are required for the front and the original fitment for the rear is non sintered.
Take off the wheel and visually check the pad thickness. Sorry, that may mean work, but it's the only safe, sure, way.
It is not safe to work under the vehicle iff it is running.
Maybe a bad bulbMaybe a bad fuseMaybe switch misaligned or defective Does it work when front brake applied?
Brake calipers are what house the brake pads and fit over the rotor. If you are working on the brakes, usually the calipers need to be taken off in order to work.
Sorry no , the 1992 and 1995 both have front disc brakes but have different part numbers for brake pads , rotors The 1992 has rear drum brakes , the 1995 rear disc brakes
Are you talking about the front or rear tires? If it's the front, and low traction conditions, then the van only has Rear-Wheel ABS. If it's the front, but dry ground, the pads are catching on the rotor. If it's the rear, but humid and only the first couple stops, it's rust on the brake surface If it's the rear, but constant, the shoes are dragging
did you turn back on the air switch in the trunk
Sometimes its best to get a couple prices on Replacing Brake Shoes (rear) and Pads (front). I noticed on New Pads (front) they were NOT a Good fit. The Pads MUST move slightly in their holders.. If They Don't Fir right- The Pads will Get HOT Quickly and may CRACK.. Notice how the old ones slide easily, and the new ones should also. As for ROTORS (Front) If there is too much "rust".. they won't come of without a Puller. If the Vehicle Vibrated when BEAKING,m chances are the Rotors got Warped by Over heating. Even if there are No Grooves from Work Pads, they could be warped, and REPLACED. I would NOT have Rotors Turned down (cut) Because they are not MADE as good as years ago. As for Rear Drums.. They also might be Very Hard to GET OFF, because of RUST on the Outer HUB. Pay the Extra, and get PEACE OF MIND.. But Trust the Person doing the Work, that You can SEE The Parts going on..
Don't know of any brake symptoms unique to Intrigues. How do you know it is the rear brakes? If you detected the rear brakes being bad because the emergency brake doesn't work, probably a snapped cable. Assuming the car still stops (front brakes still work), you could have worn pads (unlikely), a broken brake line (probably will cause the front brakes to quit working soon - look for leaks), a faulty master cylinder (rear brake cylinder shot - unusual). I'd take her to a brake shop if you can't diagnose the cause. I't hell when you are headed for a school bus and can't stop.
