No. It does not have enough mass. Only stars 8 times the mass of the sun or greater can become neutron stars. The sun will become a white dwarf.

Can the sun turn into a neutron star?

No. The Sun is of fairly ordinary mass, and isn't NEARLY big enough to undergo a supernova explosion that would collapse the core to neutron star density. In fact, the minimum mass for a star that will die that way is about 3 times the mass of the Sun.

Will our sun become a black hole or a neutron star?

Neither. Our Sun will turn into a red giant, and then cool to become a white dwarf.

What is a good ratio example of an average neutron star to our sun?

A typical neutron star has a diameter of about 24km our Sun has a diameter of 1.392×106 km So our Sun is about 58,000 times bigger than a neutron star.

Is the density of a neutron star the same as the sun?

No. Neutron stars are far MORE DENSE than the Sun's core. If the Sun were twice its actual mass, and if it were to collapse into a ball around 10 miles in diameter, THEN it would be as dense as a neutron star. Compared to a neutron star, the Sun is like a mist of hydrogen, a sort of fog.

Is there a neutron star have that is closer to the earth or the sun?

No. The closest neutron star is over 434 light years away.

Will our sun end up like a neutron star?

No, our sun won't end up like a neutron star. When our sun dies it will leave behind a remnant called a white dwarf, a very dense object but far less dense than a neutron star.

Is it possible for the sun to turn into a black hole because?

Our Sun is not nearly massive enough to become a black hole, or even a neutron star. Our Sun will end its life as a white dwarf.

Could a neutron star be bigger than the sun?

No. While a neutron star has more mass than the sun, it is compressed into a very small area about the size of a city.

What is the average density of a neutron star that has the same mass as the sun?

An object of one solar mass cannot become a neutron star.

Does the sun eventually become a neutron star?

As far as we know, the sun will never become a neutron star. it will eventually become a Red Giant and then it will eventually become a white dwarf

What is a rotating neutron star that gives off radiation with every turn?

It is a neutron star. A pulsar is nothing more than a neutron star whose "beams" are detectable from Earth. Apart from that they are the same thing.

What is the diameter in km of the dwarf star?

There are many types of Dwarf stars - all with different diameters. Our Sun is a dwarf star! A typical neutron star has a diameter of about 24km our Sun has a diameter of 1.392×106 km So our Sun is about 58,000 times bigger than a neutron star.
