Will the world end on October 21 2011?

If The Bible is the True Word of God... then the world is not going to end:

"...world without end... God Himself that formed the earth and made it; He hath established it, He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited..." (Isa.45:17-18)

The passages in the Bible that seem to speak of the world ending:

"...Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" (Matt.24:3)

...aren't talking about the "planet earth"... but refers to "time." Other translations of this passage read: "...the end of the AGE...".

God's plan is on a "time schedule." He speaks of "Judgment Day" at the conclusion of His plan as the "LAST" Great Day.

Jesus was sent to earth at a certain "time" in God's plan: "...when the fulness of TIME was come, God sent forth His Son..." (Gal.4:4).

"...in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the Firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at His coming. Then cometh the end, when He shall have delivered up the Kingdom to God, even the Father... for He must reign TILL He hath put all enemies under His feet." (I Cor.15:22-25)

This is the END for which the disciples inquired of Jesus in Matthew 24:3. The END of man's governments... and the establishment of God's Kingdom, when Jesus Christ would be revealed to the whole world as its KING!

The "end of the world" the Bible speaks of is the end of "Satan-guided man's rule on earth." The end of "man's age"... the allotted time God gave the world to man.

The only prophecies mentioning the "destruction" of the world... result in a New Earth -- at the conclusion of Judgment Day, the Last Great Day.

"...whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire." (Rev.20:15)

"And I saw a New Heaven and a New Earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away..." (Rev.21:1).

God made the earth to be inhabited. And the New Earth will witness the throne of the Father in heaven descending upon it, to live here with His Children -- His Family [Rev.21:2-3).

So... NO; according to the prophecies of your Bible, the world is NOT going to end on October 21, 2011!

However -- if there is no God... what does it matter if it does? Dead is dead, isn't it?

ANSWERNo, don't worry about it. It will not end until certain prophesied events have taken place first, followed by the return of Jesus Christ.
