∙ 12y agoErin Hunter said she has no plans for movies now, first because it would be rated PG-13 and most kids that read the series are younger. The other is it would have to be animated, because you can't do any gory scenes, like when Snowkit is taken by an eagle! =(
Actually, there ARE plans for a movie. :3 Erin Hunter said that she just needed to find someone who could possibly animate it and there are still a TON of characters to be casted.

Yep I heard that it would be the first FULL animation in 5 years, non-anime, but with no CGI help with water, sky, grass...etc, being released in 2011.

No, the author and editor of the series (Victoria Holmes) has confirmed that Harpercollins is open to the idea of a movie version of the series, but currently there are no plans for either a movie or a television series.
However, while we wait to see if this changes, you may be interested in watching some of the popular fan-animations on YouTube, under "related links". These animations are not official, or endorsed by Harpercollins.
