It is very unlikely, as Mexico would respond in kind. Most likely, the current administration will fix and / or upgrade the existing fence, declaring "mission accomplished".
Trump has made many inflammatory comments about Mexico. "I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will have Mexico pay for that wall." So far his inflammatory remarks have made him more popular.

It is possible, yes. Even if the actual effectiveness to prevent illegal immigration or drug trafficking is questionable at best, the current administration persists in its construction. What is not going to happen is forcing Mexico to pay for it: it is a matter of national sovereignty.

No. Besides the huge cost that it represents, the problem isn't building a wall but enforcing the security around it. Otherwise, drug and human smugglers will find ways to bypass it. Now, Mexico has said it won't pay for that wall, and it is increasingly viewed by its population as a matter of national pride. Erecting such structure will only alienate our southern neighbors, and eventually may lead to conflict for which neither the US nor Mexico are prepared to follow through.
You pay New Mexico taxes, but your wage tax will still be deducted by Texas.
