Ultracet (Tramadol) doesn't show up on any standard employment type drug tests. It is a non-narcotic pain reliever/ Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Substance (NSAID). It acts like an opiate in a distant fashion, not close enough for the metabolites of the drug to show as opiates.
Sidenote: Most employment type drug tests don't test for hydrocodone. Most look for Amphetamines, THC, Benzodiazapines, Cocaine, Morphine, Heroin and other common 'illicit' drugs. Vicodin/Hydrocodone is the #1 prescribed pain medicine in the US, so labs would be spending days on the phone verifying all of the correct but ok (prescribed) positive tests.

yes,it is an opiate what kind of oppites About ten years ago I took two Tylenol4s on a Saturday and I was pulled for a drug test the next Friday and I tested positive for opiates but I did have a RX for it so it was not a problem. Rootcanal from a dentist. I am not a Dr but I do know that Hydrocodone 10/325 (for ex) is 10mg Coedine and 325mg Tylenol. Codine has a 1/2 life of about 6 hours. So if you take one 10/325 Hydrocodone at 6am by noon only about 5mg of Codeine will be in your system. noon = 5mg 6pm = 2.5mg 12pm =1.25mg 6am the next day even less and even less and so on. That said if you take 1 hydrocodone on Monday it still might be your urine in 3 days. For me it was almost a week. A week?
