The Taurus and Sables come off the same assembly line - using many of the same parts.

Taurus and Sable have their own sized rims from 96 to 2001. Other Taurus rims and Tempo and Windstar rims will not fit.
These model years / designs are very different from each other and the doors are not interchangeable.
You can be pretty darn confident that engine, while it may physically fit, will not properly connect to a transmission, nor would the wiring be anywhere near enough to be able to adapt it to work. Have to find something closer to what came in the 1996 Sable / Taurus models. Start with finding the same v6 engine, 3.0 "Vulcan" or 3.0 "Duratech" 24 valve that is the original car - better odds to getting something to work.
