I have tried vinegar many times on urine soaked clothes, soaking in hot water and vinegar...smell is still there!!
I have never tried salt. But, the best thing to use to remove the odor of cat urine is white vinegar and water.
First try white vinegar and water. If that doesn't work, go to a commercial cleaning supplier. There are products used in public restrooms that remove urine odor from tile. Once you remove the smell, seal the tile grout well. This should keep it from holding an odor.
Dog urine can be removed from curtains by soaking them in vinegar and baking soda. It absorbs the odor and removes the stain.

An artificial tree should not be harmed by the urine of a cat other then odor. To remove the urine from the artificial tree use an antibacterial soap combined with vinegar or bleach.

You should absorb the urine with paper towels or cloth towels. You can use white vinegar to neutralize the odor. There are also pet products that you can buy at the pet store to get rid of and neutralize urine.

Personally I find if you use a vinegar and water solution (1-4) let dry and then use baking soda and water solution (same dilution) it usually neutralizes the odor.
Try a mixture of vinegar and water. Spray it on, rub it in and then let it dry. Should work.
