First of all you cannot ever know that you will be in either heaven or hell ..
In our religion (Islam) Allah (The god) says that no one will recognize any one in the AlQeyammah (The day that every person will be accounted for what good things he did in his life and also will be accounted for the bad thing he did also to compare between them and the decision either to be in heaven or hell built on the larger amount of good or bad things)
So You may see your parents but for sure you will never recognize them in AlQeyammah day . #2 answ: From a Christian perspective, you can know if your going to heaven or hell by whether or not you believe in Christ and have accepted him as your savior, asked for givness of your sins and committed your life to God. To answer your question, I believe you can. I don't know of any scripture that states it, but I know that all of the pain and suffering of this world will be gone. Since, in my mind, not being with the people I love would be painful, I would conclude that I will be able to see my parents and loved ones there.
