The laser is used as a potential weapon for anti-aircraft. It was intended to be used in the 1960s and the current laser systems are considered "experimental usefulness." Tactical High Energy Laser can be used in the anti-aircraft and anti-missile role. Lasers will play a major role in air defence starting in 10 years. Although the testing of Laser weapons for Anti-aircraft has been going on for years, especially in the 1990s, funding has been cutback and there is no doubt that in the near future Laser weaponry will be used for warfare.
