Many people went out to see the super moon, and many didn't. Someone that did said it looked larger than it normally does and had an orange tint to it. The large appearance was due to it being closer to earth due to it's elliptical orbit.
somebody stole it. we are looking forward for anyone who 's got information about it. regards.
the moon is closer than usual by like 3000 miles =)

The moon is always the same size it may appear bigger because more of the sun's light is shining on it, but no the moon does not "grow" or "shrink".

May 21, 2011 I saw it ! Maybe it's cloudy where you are. Or maybe you gave up looking before the moon rose in the east. Or maybe you didn't start looking until after the moon had set in the west. There are any number of possible explanations.
The Moon is new tonight; it rose about when the Sun did, and will set about when the Sun does. Tomorrow evening, you may - perhaps - see a sliver of a crescent Moon low in the western sky at sunset.
This question almost deserves to be moved to the "Adds no value" category, since anyone looking up the answer on some day other than the one it was answered (correctly) on will see an answer that is very, very likely to be wrong. Google Calendar includes a moon phase calendar. As do many, if not most, other calendars. Look on one of them.
new moon came out 20/11/09 in the UK
Nothing. It is just that once every 18 years, the moon is closer to earth than at any other time - tonight is one of those nights. But that's all it means.
