It is hard to give a definitive answer, due to lack of sufficient proof, that would convince a skeptic.

It is dependant on your belief system and religion.

The Christian church is even split on the subject. Christian spiritualists would say definitely YES. Jehovah's Witnesses would say not straight away, only after the second coming.

A lot of people have a hard time, imagining what it would be like to exist without a body and feel emotions, when you have no living flesh and blood.

If you believe in the continuation of the soul in another dimension, it is not too hard to make the connection, that it would be possible to meet loved ones again.

Some religions make a big thing about retribution and punishment in the after life and would reserve entry into heaven, for only those pious enough.

Probably not. It's comforting to believe that those of our loved ones who have already deceased are in a more pleasant place where we will see them we we die. Unfortunately, there is not even a scintilla of evidence that there really is an afterlife, so a realistic position is that when we die, we die. Make the most of this life and enjoy friendship and love while you can.
